Company history

2021

Construction and commissioning of a modern 1000sqm new building for the flexible supply (assembly and logistics) of our automotive customers.

2019

 On 01.07.2019 HIRSCHMANN GmbH becomes Carl Hirschmann GmbH. The change of name took place in the course of the company’s rebranding.

2018

JS GmbH is completely integrated to HIRSCHMANN group. The brand "JS" is continued for multi-axis rotary indexing tables.

2017

In November 2017 HIRSCHMANN is honoured by regional Economic Development Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg as company of the month.

2016

Change in management of HIRSCHMANN: since October 2016 Andreas Jesek is new commercial head and manages the business together with CTO Rainer Harter. Horst Schneider retires at the end of the year 2016 after nearly 40 years of employment.

2014

Present building of HIRSCHMANN GmbH in Winzeln.

2013

Build­ing of a new pro­duc­tion fa­cil­ity and the in­te­gra­tion of JS-GmbH.

2011

De­cem­ber 1st, HIRSCHMANN group takes over Jauch­Schmider GmbH & Co.​KG from in­sol­vency, sub­se­quently found­ing JS GmbH.

New strate­gic di­vi­sion of con­cen­tra­tion into the fol­low­ing prod­uct lines:

HIRSCHMANN GmbH cel­e­brates their 50th an­niver­sary.

2006

Cer­ti­fi­ca­tion ac­cord­ing to EN 9100, the in­ter­na­tion­ally ac­cepted stan­dard of the aero­space in­dus­try for qual­ity man­age­ment in de­sign, de­vel­op­ment, pro­duc­tion, as­sem­bly, and main­te­nance.

Es­tab­lished HIRSCHMANN EN­GI­NEER­ING USA, INC., a sales and mar­ket­ing di­vi­sion based in Chicago, Illi­nois.

1991

Com­ple­tion of a three-floored ad­min­is­tra­tion build­ing and ex­pan­sion of stor­age ware­house.

1982

The Cor­po­ra­tion changes from KG to GmbH with the new com­pany name HIRSCHMANN GmbH

Com­ple­tion of two ad­di­tional pro­duc­tion fa­cil­i­ties and ex­pan­sion of the ware­house and dis­patch de­part­ments.

1973

Re-dou­bling of pro­duc­tion ca­pa­bil­i­ties.

1967

Pro­duc­tion ca­pa­bil­i­ties are dou­bled. 

1966

De­vel­op­ment and pro­duc­tion of clamp­ing sys­tems and co­or­di­nate ta­bles is ini­ti­ated.

1961

Move into the new fac­tory build­ing in Winzeln and the start of pro­duc­tion.

1957

The marketing company Carl Hirschmann AG & Co. is founded in Stuttgart. The Corporate objective is sales and distribution of UNIBAL® rod ends and spherical bearings imported from the United States.
